In Bologna you will ONLY find tagliatelle with ragù alla bolognese! They say it is the perfect match for the meaty, tomatoey sauce and it MUST only be served with tagliatelle.
This is Revolution Ragù so you can put it with whatever pasta you like!
That being said, we do like it served with tagliatelle and this is how we would do it.
Recipe:
Serves 2 hungry souls or 3-4 smaller bowls of pasta as part of a multi course dinner
- 1 Jar of Revolution Ragù
- Sprinkle of salt
- 400g Fresh or Dried Tagliatelle
- Olive Oil
- Parmesan Cheese
Pop the ragù in a pot large enough to fit the ragù and pasta together. Gently warm on the heat.
Put a pot of water on to boil. When it has come to the boil add the salt to the water and then put the pasta in.
If using fresh tagliatelle it should only take 1 minute. If using dried pasta, follow the instructions on the pack.
Drain the pasta, reserving some of the pasta water. Put the pasta in the pot with the ragù and mix together. Add a bit of the reserved water to help mix them to a nice saucey affair.
Take off the heat and add a good drizzle of olive oil. Mix again, add more water if not saucey enough.
Plate it up as fancy as you like. Grate some Parmesan cheese over it and maybe some green herbs if you really want to impress.
Buon appetito!
